FIELD OPERATIONS MANAGER
QCELLS Enable is the EPC branch of Qcells for the Commercial, Industrial, Distributed Generation, and Small Utility Scale solar markets. Our mission is to provide world class design and installation of large-scale PV and ESS systems throughout the US. Our position as a leading module manufacturer means we can offer end-to-end solutions for project developers and asset managers. We are expanding our offerings and have several open positions currently in our Teaneck, New Jersey headquarters.
Position OverviewThe Field Operations Manager will play a pivotal role in ensuring the efficient and seamless execution of field coordination in the planning and execution of high-voltage substations, utility-scale PV, and BESS projects. This position demands technical expertise and intricate management of various teams, and a commitment to industry standards and safety. The Field Operations Manager will be the primary liaison in the fieldensuring transparent communication and fostering solid relationships for equipmentmanagement and activity coordination. Additionally, this role strongly emphasizes mentoring team members, promoting a culture of continuous learning, and identifying professional development opportunities. Proactive risk management, safety assurance, and regulatory compliance throughout the project lifecycle are integral to the position.This position reports to the Director of Construction or another management personnel that the President of the Company may designate. This position is a travel role, based out of Teaneck, New Jersey, working hours are Monday through Friday, from 8:00am to 5:00pm or 9:00am to 6:00pm local time.
Overtime and weekend working hours will be necessary as required. This position entails an expected travel up to 75% or as needed.
Essential Job Function & Responsibilities
  • Maintain transparent and solution-focused communication and collaboration, leading project field meetings, providing technical explanations, addressing project risks, and facilitating feed- back.
  • Prioritize resources and make decisions based on a profound understanding of project, financial, and milestone objectives.
  • Foster a culture of continuous learning within the team, identifying professional development opportunities and mentoring team members to enhance their skills and capabilities.
  • Collaborate with safety, QA/QC, and environmental teams to integrate their goals and requirements, promoting a culture of continuous improvement across these functions.
  • Enforce safety standards and protocols to ensure a safe working environment for all team members.
  • Enforce QA/QC requirements rigorously to ensure the highest standards of work quality on all projects.
  • Adhere to the company's attendance policy as an essential job duty requirement.
  • Undertake other duties and special projects the Associate Director of Construction.
  • Collaborate with an international team of specialists and actively participate in project development.
  • Liaising with different departments to come up with improvement strategies.
  • Developing and implementing various quality control methods.
  • Scheduling training sessions and workshops for new and existing staff members.
  • Assisting with recruitment and onboarding processes.
  • Setting targets and business goals, and working alongside the team to achieve these goals.
  • Ensuring all processes are compliant with the relevant labor laws.
  • Observing existing staff and operations, and developing strategies for improved efficiency and profit, as well as cost reduction.
  • Ensuring all operations stay within the allocated budget.
  • Travel to project sites and meetings as necessary, with an expected travel requirement of up to 75% or as needed to support the Core Projects.
Leadership & Coordination
  • Inspire and guide teams while possessing excellent problem-solving skills and a proven track record of successfully managing complex construction projects.
  • Identify training opportunities and facilitate knowledge-sharing sessions.
  • Proactively identify, assess, and mitigate risks associated with complex utility-scale projects, prioritizing safety, and compliance at all stages.
  • Possess the skills required to successfully utilize project management software for planning, documenting, and executing projects, including but not limited to MS Office Suite, ProCore, Microsoft Project, and more.
Required Qualifications
  • Hold an Associate degree or higher in Construction Management, OR
  • Possess a minimum of 7 years of experience in field construction management. Preferably in high voltage substations, PV, BESS projects, Wind Energy or similar significantly complicated capital projects, with a proven track record of successfully completing projects.
  • Experience managing multiple projects and a large workforce.
  • Be assertive, adaptable to dynamic environments, a team player, and willing to travel.
  • Fluent in written and spoken English; proficiency in other languages is a plus.
  • Exhibit excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Be assertive, capable of handling pressure, and a team player.

SALARY RANGE FOR POSITION 
The anticipated starting pay range of this position, which is to be located in (Teaneck), NJ is $ 120,000.00 - $ 150,000.00base salary per year.
The above-listed salary range is required by the New York Pay Transparency Act and may differ depending on the location of those candidates hired nationwide. The salary range shared in the job description is for the listed position and only pertains to the candidate if they work in New York, New York. Actual compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to internal pay equity, skill set, education, licenses and certifications, geographic location, essential job duties and requirements, and the necessary experience relative to the job’s minimum qualifications. An additional discretionary bonus structure or incentives may be offered as part of the overall compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, dental, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered. 
EXAMPLES OF PHYSICAL DEMANDS 
  •  Able to climb and maintain balance on ladders, scaffolding, stairways, etc.
  • Stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, or work at elevated heights as well as in confined spaces (towers, vessels, excavations, etc.).
  • Able to walk or move continuosuly while carrying 50 lbs. of tools and/or materials. It is recommended to get assistance to lift items over 50 lbs. Check with your project supervisor or project safety director.
  • Must be able to stand or walk for long periods of time.
  • Must be able to work extended hours on your feet on uneven surfaces (dirt, concrete, asphalt, mud, gravel, etc.) Full range of motion and flexibility consistent with requirements of the job duties.
  • Requires repetitive movement.
