To operate production line machines and equipment ensuring maximum
line efficiencies and productivity.
Duties &
Responsibilities:
▪ Start up and shut down all production lines, machines and equipment
▪ Monitor all machines and equipment to ensure operational standards,
efficiencies and product quality is met
▪ Perform minor troubleshooting of machines and equipment such as
changing grinding wheels and honing stones
▪ Perform quality checks of finished product
▪ Pack finished product and stack boxes on skids

▪ Cooperate with and assist other team members
▪ Maintain production data electronically
▪ Communicate pertinent information regarding machine issues and
product quality issues to Supervisor, Technicians and other shifts
▪ Perform 5S activities
Knowledge, Skills
and Abilities:

• Technical and mechanical aptitude
• Ability to troubleshoot basic mechanical problems
• Numeracy skills
• Mathematical aptitude
• Good vision, manual dexterity
• Intermediate computer skills
• Ability to lift, load and handle various size production parts with average

weights of 35 pounds
Education and
Professional
Experience:

• Completion of secondary school
• Post-secondary vocational / technical or trade training an asset
• Previous work experience with machines, hand tools, power tools an

asset

• Previous machine operator work experience in an industrial

manufacturing facility an asset
