Accounting Manager
QUAD is currently seeking an Accounting Manager to join our start up biotech client located in Center City. Hybrid work environment.
The Accounting Manager will oversee all organizational general accounting and financial reporting functions, with emphasis on systems build out, monthly close, financial statement preparations, and budget to actual analysis. This role offers extensive exposure to leadership.
Responsibilities:
The Accounting Manager will be responsible for:
- Handling financial reporting and financial statements preparation
- Ensuring accurate reconciliation of general ledger balance sheet accounts and managing accounting closings
- Overseeing purchasing and accounting payable systems, procedures, and policies development, implementation, and maintenance
- Managing internal controls, including process documentation updates and ensuring compliance
- Overseeing all aspects of equity compensation and payroll processes
- Supporting budget preparation, processes streamlining, accounting systems upgrades, budget to actual analyses, and other projects
- Managing internal audit, including maintaining communications with external auditors
Skills/Competencies:
The Accounting Manager will possess these skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
- 4-5 years Big 4 combo or Big 4 with pharma/biotech accounting experience
- Strong technical accounting proficiency, with thorough knowledge of GAAP, SEC regulations, and SOX requirements
- Experience with financial statements preparation and presentation
- Knowledge of compensation principles and practices
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
- Microsoft Office proficiency
Additional Details:
Salary: To $130k bonus equity
