Nuclear Medicine Technician PET Technician Pikesville, MD MustThe Nuclear Medicine Technician PET Technician must have experience: Must have a certification or degree in Nuclear Medicine A minimum of one year's experience performing nuclear medicine imaging procedures, specifically cardiac exams and performing quality assurance on the equipment is preferred Must have an active NMTCB or ARRT(N) license, and, if applicable, a state license in good standing American Heart Association Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) and CPR courses DutiesPerform functional and/or perfusion rest and stress cardiac studies, including processing images for physician review Follow all radiation safety policy and State guidelines for handling of radioactive pharmaceuticals Responsible for radiation safety Follow government regulations and Company policies governing the receipt, handling, transport, use, and disposal of radioactive materials and related equipment and medical supplies Establish and maintain effective relationships with customers and patients and gain their trust and respect Maintain patient confidentiality in all areas Ability to react in an emergency and determine the best course of action or care for the patient Able to work independently in a busy environment Must have valid drivers license with no major violations Quadrant is an affirmative action/equal opportunity employer.
