Nurse Practitioner / Physician's Assistant - Surgery
Greenbelt, MDMust2 years of Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner with experience in a Surgery Center
Experience in a Surgery Center
Experience in Ambulatory
Must be comfortable working independently
Must be comfortable working in a fast-pace environment
Must have a great attitude and be reliable
Must have an active MD License and DEA
EMR experience is a plus
DutiesThe Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant will be responsible for but not limited to the following:
Functions independently to perform age-appropriate history and physical for complex acute, critical, and chronically ill perioperative patients
Orders and interprets diagnostic and therapeutic tests relative to patients age-specific needs
Prescribes appropriate pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic treatment modalities
Implements interventions to support the patient to regain or maintain physiologic stability, including but not limited to serving in the first assisting role
Assists with the provision of surgical care in accordance with facility, state, and federal regulations
Monitors the effectiveness of interventions
Collaborates with multidisciplinary team members by making appropriate referrals
