Job Description: Powersports Parts Associate
The Parts / Service associate strives to return a satisfactory profit on dealer capital invested in parts inventory and helping with service checks. They will perform over the counter parts and accessory sales as well as inventory transfers to the service and sales departments.
Duties and Responsibilities: Motivates, schedules, monitors the performance of all parts department programs. Maintains a balanced inventory consistent with the requirements of the service department, wholesale accounts, and public. Establishes pricing parameters in each customer category that generate sufficient gross profit and produce a satisfactory profit while maintaining customer loyalty. Establishes individual parts inventory levels and balances them for maximum turnover. Monitors and adjusts inventory to minimize obsolescence. Supervises stock and special orders from manufacturers and vendors. Works with the service manager to ensure a timely turnaround of parts needed for internal jobs. Monitors daily reports, and sales margins. Utilizes LIGHTSPEED EVO to perform parts reports. Handles customer complaints immediately and according to the dealership's guidelines. Maintains professional appearance.
Job Requirements: Qualifications: High school diploma or the equivalent. Experience in an automotive or powersports parts department. Excellent communication and managerial skills. Some sales experience. Will be trained on the dealerships computer system. Ability to operate the department profitably within dealership guidelines. Professional appearance. All applicants must be authorized to work in the USA. This is an hourly yearly position with COMMISSION potential
