Summary:

(This position will work and train under a Programmer) The Machine Programmer is responsible for producing machined parts by Programming equipment in a production environment at a level that supports the achievements of the plants goals and objectives.

Responsibilities:

· Analyzes drawings, sketches, and design data to determine dimensions and configurations of cuts, selection of cutting tools and machine needs and feed rates.

· Determines reference points and direction of machine paths. Computes angular and linear dimensions, curvature, and outlines sequence of operations required to run part.

· Writes instructions sheets and list to guide setup and operation of machine.

· Communicates effectively and professionally with supervisors, engineers, production control, quality, and other shop personnel.

· Must be organized and detail oriented.

· Extended hours are required.

Qualifications:

· High school diploma and college or technical school training preferred.

· Ability to read and interpret schematic diagrams is required.

· Experience working with CAD.

· Proficiency with Microsoft Office products.

· Ability to demonstrate flexibility, initiative, and good judgement in dealing with incoming projects as well as adapting to changing product parameters and customer requirements.
