Job Description
Accounting Assistant
Our client has been in the steel and fabrication business since 1964. They have grown into one of the largest steel/metal fabricators in Michigan and they are looking to expand their team.
Wage: $19/hr. or more based on experience
Shift: 1st Shift 8:30am - 5pm
Schedule: Mon - Fri
Summary: Coordinates and performs accounting, administrative and receptionist task to obtain optimum efficiency by performing the following duties.
Essential Duties:
Accounts Payable Entry
Accounts Payable Filing
Accounts Receivable Invoice Entry
Answer in-coming phone lines
Sort and Distribute Incoming Mail
Order Office Supplies
Process Outgoing Mail
Carries out responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies, procedures and applicable laws
Conduct duties in an ethical, people oriented, results driven manner consistent with the long term goals of the business
Perform other Accounting and Administrative duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Must be capable of performing each position responsibility satisfactorily.
Education-Associates degree (A.A.) or higher from an accredited college or university; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
At least one-year of data entry experience.
Skilled in the following software; Excel, Word, and MS Office Suite helpful.
Pleasant personality who enjoys working with people and has a strong customer service focus (internal and external).
Cooperative personality, cheerful and polite.
Good telephone and communication skills.
Self-directed and results oriented.
Able to multi-task, detail oriented with good problem-solving skills.
