General Labor
Job Summary:
As a General Labor, responsible for varied daily tasks such as restocking shelves, accepting incoming orders, processing and packing orders, counting inventory and ensuring orders are shipped in a timely manner.
RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES
- Ability to perform repetitive movement of hands and arms.
- Stand for prolonged periods of time.
- Demonstrate the ability to learn and consistently follow written and oral instructions.
- Effectively learn the work instructions for the needed number of operations or assignments.
- Comply with all safety requirements.
- Communicate and interact appropriately with peers and leaders.
- Consistently complete assigned operations in the expected amount of time.
- Complete assignments in compliance with the work instructions.
- Arrive on time and complete all scheduled shifts.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
This job is performed in a busy warehouse environment with high forklift traffic. Warehouses are subject to seasonal temperatures.
EXPERIENCE:
- 1 to 3 years or experience in the related field.
EDUCATION:
High school diploma or GED preferred.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES:
- Attentive and able to concentrate.
- Able to follow directions and procedures accurately.
- Detail-oriented and able to handle multiple tasks.
- Good oral and written communication skills, including legible handwriting.
- Ability to be a team player and work flexible hours/schedule if required.
- Ability to communicate effectively with supervisors and coworkers.
- Ability to read and understand applicable Standard Operating Procedures.
