Position: Sanitation Supervisor
Location: Colonial Heights, VA
Schedule: Monday – Saturday and/or Sunday 8PM – 6AM or until sanitation is finished
Salary: $60,000 annually (pending experience)
POSITION SUMMARY
Responsible for the cleaning of the plant production equipment and facility. Oversee the Sanitation Team in the day-to-day cleaning and sanitation of plant equipment and environment in a thorough and safe manner
JOB TASKS / FUNCTIONS
- Manage direct reports to include training, evaluation, development and coaching of employees
- Conduct safety audits, attend safety meetings and report unsafe conditions
- Complete accurate production reporting, including timesheets
- Utilize trouble shooting skills to resolve sanitation issues in a timely manner
- Practice continuous improvement and quality first
- Other duties as assigned
- HS Diploma, GED or equivalent
- One (1) year sanitation experience
- One (1) year leadership experience
- Know and enforce all Food Safety practices (HACCP, GMPs, SOPs, SSOPs and SQF)
- The ability to work efficiently and accurately under pressure, meet deadlines, present a professional demeanor and work well independently and within a team environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Two (2) years sanitation experience
- Two (2) years leadership experience
- Bilingual
- Regularly required to stand; use hands and fingers in a repetitive motion
- Frequently required to stand, walk and reach above the head
- The employee is occasionally required to stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, crawl and talk or hear
- The employee is required to lift a minimum of ten (10) lbs
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, depth perception and ability to focus
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to moving mechanical parts, toxic or caustic chemicals and fumes or airborne particles
- The noise level in the work environment ranges from normal office levels to loud factory / warehouse levels
- Ability to work overnight shifts, weekends, holidays, 1st, 2nd and/or 3rd shifts
- Ability to work in temperature conditions between 35 and 95 degrees Fahrenheit; may occasionally exceed 95 degrees Fahrenheit
