Shipping Clerk (1st Shift)

Our client is a growing engineer driven company that creates custom material handling solutions for customers, including the largest e-commerce supplier in the world. Our client started in 2003, and is now occupying three buildings in Coopersville, MI, has 65 employees!

Shift: 1st Shift 5:00am-3:30pm

Location: Coopersville, MI 49404

Pay: $17.00 to 20.00/hr. (pay issued based on experience)

Job Duties:

• Build skids from scratch to properly support loads (carpentry skills and tape measuring skills are required for this position)
• Examine shipment contents and compare with records
• Prepare materials for shipping by packing, sealing, labeling, and attaching postage to shipments
• Tag parts and label them for shipment
• Clean and organize shipping area
• Take pictures of shipments
• Review shipping schedule list and manage time to complete tasks in specified timeframe
• Store shipping materials and supplies to maintain inventory of stock
• Record shipment data, such as weight and dimensions and turn into the supervisor
• Deliver or route materials to departments using fork trucks

Job Requirements:

• Ability to lift 50 lbs
• Proficient at reading a tape measure
• Previous experience in manufacturing preferred
• Previous experience driving a hilo
• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• 18 years or older
• Must have a valid driver's license
