The Area Manager is the leader / manager of 4-12 Service Center Managers (Managers) in an assigned geographical region with the responsibility to recruit, develop and motivate a team of Managers to attain business results at both the Service Center and Area levels. While the Area Manager works within defined practices, procedures and policies, there is room for creating innovative approaches to improve and grow the business. The Area Manager is the key "link" or "go-between" of Area personnel, the Regional Manager and Corporate Staff ensuring that appropriate communication is maintained down, up and I across the company. Successful Area Managers maintain the right blend of task and people orientation to get the job done. They recognize that selecting the right talent, effectively managing individual performance, coaching / counseling / motivating and providing recognition is the key to maximizing profitability and business growth.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee, working in a shop environment, is regularly exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; moving mechanical parts and outside weather conditions. The employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
