Full job description:

We are seeking a talented Design Consultant to join our team at our local small kitchen and bath remodeling business in Beaverton, OR. As a Design Consultant, you will assist clients in creating functional and aesthetically pleasing kitchen/bath spaces by providing expert design advice and product recommendations. Design experience is welcomed but not required as our team will provide extensive training to build your confidence as a salesperson.

Duties/Responsibilities:

Collaborate with clients to understand their design preferences and requirements.

Create layout designs for customers' spaces, considering functionality and aesthetics.

Present design proposals and product options to clients.

Build and maintain company-customer relationships.

Answer inbound sales calls and make outbound sales calls.

Consistent following up on promises and commitments in a timely manner with customers.

Complete sales transactions and processing of payments.

Schedule pickup and installation dates for customer.

Troubleshoot customer issues during the sales pipeline.

Retain up to date knowledge of company products and services, along with pros and cons of each so you can help education our customers to make informed decisions.

Create personalized countertop and cabinet layouts.

Guide customers through sales process from start to finish.

Requirements/Qualifications:

High School Education Required. Some college work completed preferred.

2 years of previous customer service experience.

Countertop/Cabinet Design experience preferred.

Proven ability to handle multiple tasks at once.

Must have strong attention to detail.

Problem solver/critical thinker.

The ability to work in a high volume, fast paced environment.

Good mathematical skills; ability to do calculations quickly.

Differentiate between countertop colors/options.

Intermediate skills in MS Outlook, Word, and Excel.

Strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Knowledge of remodeling processes and materials.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Experience in outside sales or cash handling preferred.
