Job Title: Data Architect

**Location:** Montvale, New Jersey (Onsite) / Local Candidate (NJ/ NY) only

**Duration:** 12 months

### Role and Responsibilities

- Create and maintain optimal data pipeline architecture.

- Assemble large, complex data sets to meet business requirements.

- Identify, design, and implement internal process improvements.

- Build infrastructure for data extraction, transformation, and loading using SQL server and Azure big data technologies.

- Develop analytics tools for actionable insights on business performance.

- Collaborate with stakeholders to support data infrastructure needs.

- Create data tools for analytics and data scientist teams.

- Enhance functionality in data systems.

- Support software developers, database architects, data analysts, and data scientists on data initiatives.

### Essential Skills and Qualifications

- Advanced SQL knowledge and experience with relational databases.

- Proficiency in Python or Java.

- Experience building and optimizing big data pipelines, architectures, and data sets.

- Strong analytic skills with unstructured datasets.

- Familiarity with message queuing, stream processing, and highly scalable big data stores.

- Experience supporting cross-functional teams in a dynamic environment.

- Proven experience in building Data-Ingestion and ETL/ELT Pipelines.

- At least 8 years of experience with:

 - Azure Cloud offerings (Data Lake, Data Factory, Databricks, Azure SQL)

 - Storage formats (Parquet, Avro)

 - API authentication and endpoint consumption

 - Data pipeline and workflow management tools

 - Big data tools (Spark, Python, Azure Cloud, Power BI)

- Preferred:

 - Healthcare domain knowledge

 - Experience in Linux & Windows environments

 - Bash scripting proficiency

 - Stream processing architecture experience

 - Webapp development (C#, API development)
