Duties
- Performs balance sheet, general ledger, and income statement analyses; performs reconciliations as needed
- Prepares financial statements and journal entries
- Supports internal and external audits to ensure compliance
- Supports the Corporate Controller with the financial reporting process
- Supports the month-end and year-end close processes
- Develops and implements processes to streamline financial data as it flows through the organization
- Partners with and assists other Quanta Operating Units with various Accounting processes; share best practices and ensures the integrity of financial data that is being gathered
- Participates in change management to include identifying, documenting, and assisting with developing inter-company processes
- Manages, tracks, and reports inter-company projects by account
- Resolves differences with inter-company Quanta operating units; handles reconciliations as needed
- Develops and documents business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls; makes process improvement recommendations to leadership team
- Adheres to internal standards, policies, and procedures
- Performs special projects and completes other duties as assigned
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
- 4 years’ experience working within the Accounting function of a public accounting firm or large, national organization
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
- 2 years’ experience working within a Construction accounting setting
- Experience with JD Edwards
- Detail oriented with strong financial and analytical skills
- Ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization
- Self-motivated requiring minimal oversight
- Well organized with strong time management skills
- Goal oriented with proven ability to meet deadlines
- Travel: Yes
- Percent of Time: Up to 10%
