Context:

We are looking for a candidate to take over the responsibilities of an existing role within the team. The candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams to carry out in-depth data analysis, establish data quality standards, and create performance metrics. This position requires strong problem-solving abilities and experience with designing comprehensive solutions that enhance data integrity and clarity. The candidate should possess excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and must be comfortable engaging with clients. Knowledge of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and change management processes is vital, as is an understanding of data quality principles in the financial services industry.

Key Responsibilities:

- Work closely with business users to translate their needs into data quality requirements and establish corresponding rules.

- Validate and test the effectiveness of data quality rules.

- Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure proper testing and validation processes.

- Collaborate with technical teams to ensure that development standards are maintained.

- Design and implement various profiling strategies for data, including:

- Profiling columns and sub-columns.

- Cross-table profiling (e.g., integrity checks, joins).

- Comparative profiling patterns.

- Generating summary reports for analysis.

- Setting up both quick and customized data profiles, running them, and analyzing detailed results.

- Developing scorecards based on profile data.

- Translate data quality exceptions into user-friendly BI reports for quick evaluation of client data, transactional data, KPIs, and other data quality measures.

- Ensure timely availability of refreshed data using ETL workflows with Informatica tools.

- Utilize ServiceNow for change management and coordinate implementation with production support teams.

Required Skills & Experience:

- Experience working within a regulated financial institution, with an understanding of relevant compliance standards.

- Proficiency in using Informatica Data Quality (IDQ) tools for both development and reporting purposes.

- Familiarity with key Informatica components necessary for Data Quality operations, including PowerCenter.

- In-depth understanding of various data quality methodologies such as data profiling, cleansing, standardization, and record matching (Match/Merge).

- Proven ability to implement data quality rules, glossaries, and scorecards using Informatica’s Data Quality components.

- Experience integrating data quality checks within production environments and returning results for further action or reporting.

- Advanced SQL skills, with hands-on experience using DB2, Oracle, and Microsoft SQL Server databases.

- Excellent communication skills, with a proven ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
