Description
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Oversee, coordinate and manage TMS implementation projects including:
Collaborate with customer project manager to document project scope, schedule and work plan.
Facilitate and administer on-site project kickoff and design workshops
Define CLX tasks and resource assignments
Monitor project progress, identify risks, and document change requests as needed
Lead weekly status meetings and provide periodic status reports to stakeholders
Facilitate test planning, execution, and quality assurance efforts
Coordinate design, development, configuration, and go-live activities among internal and external team members
Ensure CLX deliverables are completed to specification, reviewed by internal subject matter experts, and approved by customers
Document project close and manage the transition to run-and-maintain support
Support upgrade and continuous improvement projects with existing TMS accounts, including both external clients and the CLX Managed Transportation Services team.
Manage by influence to ensure that customers are successful in their adoption of the TMS product after the project is complete and the team has been released.
Develop functional knowledge in the use of TMS and logistics operations
Requirements
Required Skills and Experience:
3-5 years’ experience in freight transportation operations, consulting and/or project management
Minimum 2 years of project management experience in a customer-facing role
Technical and/or operational knowledge of system integration activities (using EDI, XML, or API’s)
Working knowledge of MS Office, Project, and Visio
Excellent written and verbal business communication skills (negotiation, conflict-resolution, issue escalation, and presentation skills)
Situational awareness (ability to anticipate/prevent problems and escalate effectively for resolution)
Helpful Skills and Experience
Project management certification
Functional knowledge of ERP or Transportation Management systems
Business analysis and quality assurance of technology-enabled business process change
Experience in a logistics operations or supply chain management role
Education:
4-year degree in business or technology (or equivalent career experience)
