Quantum Rise is a rapidly growing AI start-up offering AI consulting and product development capabilities to high growth organizations. The offerings will range from providing strategic advice through full AI product / SaaS development. This newly created Infrastructure Engineer role will report to the Chief Technology Officer and lead efforts to build and implement IT strategic plans aligned with our organizational goals.

Responsibilities include establishing effective governance and security, owning deployment of tooling used for software development, overseeing the IT Portfolio and Budget, as well as supporting integration of new companies through M&A. Effective communication is vital for understanding and collaboration.

The ideal person will have a balance of experience from a traditional sysadmin background (new hire provisioning, WAFs, maintenance and patching, permissions and security reviews) to experience creating systems for software development machine learning and AI SaaS. The person is intellectually curious, persistent with the details, a strong communicator, and has an entrepreneurial spirit. A variety of tech stacks will be used depending on the client, so a wide experience of tooling is preferable. The successful candidate must excel in working in a highly collaborative environment together with the business, data scientists, ML engineers, and other partners to deploy solutions into production.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement comprehensive IT strategic plans that align with the organization's overall business objectives and long-term vision
• Work closely with our engineering teams to make infrastructure and cloud decisions that support rapid growth and future-proof our product suite
• Own deployment of tooling used for software development, including the following (as example): Airflow, Kubernetes, Databricks, Terraform, and have experience across all three major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
• Ensure seamless integration and deployment usingGitHub for CI/CD
• Establish and enforce effective governance frameworks, policies, and procedures to ensure efficient decision-making, compliance, and transparency across IT initiatives and resources.
• Implement IT portfolio management practices to optimize resource allocation, reduce risks, and support informed decision-making regarding IT investments.

Minimum Qualifications

• 5 years of experience in engineering leadership roles in SaaS or similar companies, and overall 10 years in software development
• Deep understanding of current and emerging proprietary and open-source software development technologies and their practical applications
• Proven track record in developing and executing IT strategic plans that align with organizational goals, drive efficiency, and promote innovation
• Strong expertise in establishing governance frameworks, ensuring efficient decision-making, compliance, and transparency across IT initiatives
• Demonstrated experience in managing and prioritizing IT project portfolios to maximize alignment with business objectives and value
• Experience initiating and driving projects to completion autonomously
• Strong leadership, strategic thinking, and communication skills
