Cytology Support Representative II - Denver, CO - Monday - Friday - 5:00 am - 1:30 pm

Provide the Cytology Department with administrative support, including functions that require client contact.

Pay Range: $18.29 - $25.31 / hour

Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and, where applicable, certifications obtained. Market and organizational factors are also considered. Successful candidates may be eligible to receive annual performance bonus compensation.

Responsibilities

• Documentation for revised reports
• Transcribe, accurately and in a timely manner, results for cytology cases into the LIS.
• Slide administration/workflow for CT & Path screening and QA/QC rescreening functions.
• Place medical alert calls.
• Administer and track release of AP materials according to policy. 
• Monitor and manage pending lists.
• QA/QC documentation support.
• Participate in orientation and training of newly hired employees, as needed.
• Handle incoming calls, responding in a timely and professional manner.
• Contact clients to request additional information or to provide designated reports.
• Escalate complex customer issues to the appropriate individual departments.
• Handle STAT case orders.
• Cyto Support Specialist 1 duties as-needed.
• Other duties as required.

Physical and Mental Requirements:

• Finger Dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
• Large amounts of standing, sitting, bending, twisting, and reaching.
• Lift and carry objects up to 30 pounds. 

Knowledge:

• Knowledge of basic computer functions.
• Knowledge of medical terminology. 

Skills:

• Type 45 WPM.
• Good organizational skills. 
• Must begin and complete all assignments with minimal supervision.
• Must be able to collaborate with other departments and colleagues for problem solving.
