Highlights:

• We are seeking candidates for a permanent Sr. Staff Accountant opening in Alpharetta
• This role is with one of the nation's leading homebuilders and is open due to internal promotion.
• This is a hybrid remote role-will work in office a maximum of 8 days/month

Position Overview:

Provide management with financial information and analysis

Major Functional Responsibilities:

• Safeguard the company’s assets in accordance with Corporate and Division policy and generally accepted accounting principles

• Prepare financial statements and management reports

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Prepare consolidated weekly sales reporting.

• Prepare journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations and complete month end close process

• Prepare consolidated reporting of month end schedules including lot stat, spec aging, and interest calculation

• Prepare job profit projection monthly

• Monthly Consolidations

• Prepare and file sales tax returns

• Retain appropriate documents for audit purposes and fulfill audit requests

Prepare builder survey information both annually and monthly

• Assist with preparation of census information as needed

• Prepare financial reporting schedules and additional quarterly schedules

• Maintain accounting records and files

• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in accounting or finance preferred

• Understanding of generally accepted accounting principles and cost accounting

Experience:

• Two (2) to four (4) years of professional accounting experience

• Previous homebuilding or construction industry experience preferred
