Quick Med Claims is Hiring a Data Analyst Near Pittsburgh, PA

Description Quick Med Claims (QMC) is a nationally recognized leader in emergency medical transportation billing and reimbursement. Summary The Data Analyst position will work with key players in the Information Technology department such as the Chief Technology Officer, Lead Data Architect, Program Managers and analysts to develop solutions for reporting, large data warehouse and business intelligence initiatives. The Data Analyst will be adaptable, possess a wide range of technical skills, and demonstrate the ability to understand EMS business requirements. This position is considered a strong ‘utility’ type analyst with the ability to switch context quickly and efficiently with Project Managers, Database Architects, Operations, and other personnel. Responsibilities Managing analytics projects from start to finish (data integration, analysis, reporting). Working closely with Business Analysts and Architects to solve analytical/statistical business problems. Developing and coding new algorithms to meet specific business needs. Conducting statistical research, prototyping new systems, and finding new ways of gathering, cleaning, analyzing, and presenting data. Managing, maintaining, and developing the organization’s data platform. Consulting with internal teams and external clients to determine their ongoing business needs, and to find solutions to them. Actively working to identify improvements to internal processes, to improve conversions, revenue, ROI (or other relevant metrics). Ability to lead teams in researching or solving business-critical problems. Analyze and resolve issues found during the testing or trial executions of the client implementation lifecycle; coordinate changes with project team leaders and cross-work team members. Provide technical support to project team members and respond to inquiries regarding errors or questions about data and or reporting. Create technical documentation per defined corporate standards and guidelines. Interact with architects, tech leads, team members and project manager as required to address technical and schedule issues. Adhere to all QMC HIPAA privacy policies and procedures. This includes always maintaining the confidentiality and security of sensitive patient information. Requirements Education and Experience: BS, information systems, mathematics, machine learning, similar (or a data analytics certification acquired through a specific program with equivalent work experience -minimum 5 years in an analyst role) A minimum of 5 years of experience working with an application development organization; must demonstrate understanding of the software development life cycle and experience delivering solutions with an exceptionally high degree of quality. A minimum of 5 years of experience in database development & SQL, reporting, programming, and analysis. Strong experience and demonstrated ability to develop complex Jaspersoft reports. Demonstrated experience building Sisense dashboards using CCS, JavaScript, and Python. Strong technical skills in Python, Excel, GitHub. Experience working with large structured and unstructured datasets. Experience working in an agile development environment using Jira and Confluence Relevant domain expertise including in-depth knowledge of EMS industry and Revenue Cycle Management. Ability to collaborate effectively with other disciplines including business analysts, technical leads, senior level managers and project managers and develop a strong internal network across the company. Possess the ability to work in a fast-paced environment that supports production and maintenance level changes. Ability and desire to work in an iterative development model which emphasizes speed and proactive decision making. Proven self-starter with track record of setting goals and delivering results while prioritizing multiple tasks. Ability to think creatively and seek optimum solutions that save time and resources. Excellent communication skills, including understanding of technical writing requirements. Ability to grasp loosely defined concepts and transform them into tangible results and key deliverables. Strong adaptability, innovative skills, and attention to detail Demonstrated effective analytical skills. Strong problem-solving skills. Strong diagnostic skills with the ability to analyze technical, business, and financial issues and options. Ability to work effectively under little supervision. Preferred Qualifications Knowledge of Rescue Net and AdvancedClaim and its underlying data structure Experience with AWS and Redshift Knowledge and experience with ETL tools Knowledge of machine learning/deep learning including Python related libraries Knowledge of natural language processing and AI Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities Self-motivation with an ability to prioritize multiple tasks Ability to develop a strong internal network across the company Excellent collaboration, communications, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills Ability to think creatively and seek optimum solutions Strong organizational skills including an ability to manage multiple projects with concurrent deliverables and resource needs Demonstrated effective analytical skills Proven self-starter with track record of setting goals and delivering results Ability to work effectively under little supervision Strong adaptability, innovative skills, and attention to detail Excellent communication skills, including understanding of technical writing requirements Ability to grasp loosely defined concepts and transform them into tangible results and key deliverables Very strong problem-solving skills Diagnostic skills with the ability to analyze technical, business and financial issues and options Ability to infer from previous examples, willingness to understand how an application is put together Action-oriented, with the ability to quickly deal with change Ability to collaborate effectively with other disciplines including business analysts, technical leads, senior level managers and project managers.
