QVC is Hiring an Operations Manager- Nights Near Suffolk, VA
The OpportunityReporting to the Senior Manager Fulfillment Center Operations, we are looking for an Operations Manager, responsible for inbound or outbound operations. You will maintain benchmark levels of safety, efficiency, quality, productivity, continuous improvement within the building and throughout the supply chain, and the hiring and development of management and hourly teams. You will be hands-on in a startup operation and will build relationships with hourly associates, managers, carrier partners, vendors, other FC teams, and different departments in the company. You will manage a team on night shift and report to the Senior Operations Manager. Your schedule would be Sunday through Wednesday, beginning at 3:30 pm.
Your Impact
- Build the initial teams, establishing procedures, metrics, and processes.
- Lead a team of Area Managers and hourly associates
- Develop and administer operational procedures for perfectly completing activities for incoming and outgoing shipments, handling and disposition of products, and keeping the highest standards of inventory accuracy
- Guide strategic planning and forecasting
- Develop teammates for career progression and learning
- Improve safety, quality, cost, and delivery while growing and expanding capabilities within the warehouse
- Use the site Warehouse Management System (WMS) to improve perfect order fulfillment and provide operational insights to improve WMS effectiveness
- B.S. or B.A. degree or equivalent additional experience
- 4 years of management experience in fulfillment center/warehouse operations; prefer retail/e-commerce and apparel experience
- Experience developing and managing 50 employees.
- At least 3 years of management experience in Receiving, Inventory Control, or Order Fulfillment.
- Experience building or improving inventory management, order management, and warehouse management processes.
- Experience using Kaizens, process improvement
