Import/Export Specialist

Where we need you

• Create import/export documentation both within and outside of the scope of SAP
• Responsible for OEM portals for USMCA/FTAS
• Process and ensure accuracy of customs documentation.
• Assist freight forwarders and customs brokers with import and export issues associated with all shipments.
• Review for accuracy and Process freight invoices and broker bills.
• Track, trace and report shipments to ensure timely delivery to all the Companys warehouses for Sales Planning Teams.
• Assist in handling and resolving freight claims.
• Review and Process Importer Security Filing (ISF) to ensure compliance requirements and submission.
• Review thoroughly and print all import documentation to ensure full Import
• Compliance, per US Customs rules and regulations, inclusive of recordkeeping.
• Maintain electronic records including daily import activity log (shipping manifest).
• Import and Export Freight Costs Data, Import/Export tracking for US Customs and the Companys accounting department, where needed.
• Special projects data base and in-bound trucking report for all warehouses.
• Attend off site trade conferences and webinars for training and fulfillment of essential functions and key responsibilities.
• Assist in process of Drawback claims as needed.
• Travel as necessary to fulfill essential functions and key responsibilities.
• Work outside of normal hours of operation, as needed, in order to fulfill essential functions and responsibilities.
• Maintain all files and paperwork relating to import/export matters.
• All other duties as required or needed.

Work experience requirements:

• 3 years Import/Export experience in a manufacturing or trading environment.
• Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
• MS Outlook.
• SAP
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent quantitative and analytical skills.
• Excellent organization and time management skills.
• Ability to travel.
• Ability to work outside of regularly scheduled work hours as needed.

Education Requirements:

Bachelors degree in business, Supply Chain Management and/or Logistics
