R.D. Olson Construction is Hiring a Construction Project Engineer l La Quinta Near La Quinta, CA
The Project Engineer is the first step on our Project Manager Career Ladder and a key member of our construction project team. The Project Engineer will manage the request for information process, coordinate the weekly delivery of materials, manage the submittal process and other tasks leading to a successful build.
Necessary Qualifications
- BS in Construction Science, Construction Management, or a related Engineering field or 3 years of experience in a Project Engineer role.
- Construction work experience or internship experience required for this role.
- Proficiency in using Word, Excel, Outlook, and Microsoft Project.
- Live in the Southern California area.
- Ability to drive to job sites.
- Key team member and responsible for a variety of daily assignments while assisting the project team in the successful completion of their current project
- Responsible for submittals, RFI logs, procurement logs, meeting minutes and other tolls for $20m to $40m projects
- Facilitates the review of materials delivered to the site and interface the review of materials delivered to the site.
- Assists the PM with daily tasks such as participating in Owner, Design, and staff meetings and monitoring the process with subcontractors/design team to ensure the timely approval of construction materials.
- Collaborate with our Safety Director and Job Site Superintendent to provide a safe working environment
