THE OPENING
R.D. Olson Construction is growing and needs Project Engineers for a luxury hospitality project in La Quinta, CA.
The Project Engineer is the first step on our Project Manager Career Ladder and a key member of our construction project team. The Project Engineer will manage the request for information process, coordinate the weekly delivery of materials, manage the submittal process and other tasks leading to a successful build.
NECESSARY QUALIFICATIONS

• BS in Construction Science, Construction Management, or a related Engineering field or 3 years of experience in a Project Engineer role.
• Construction work experience or internship experience required for this role.
• Proficiency in using Word, Excel, Outlook, and Microsoft Project.
• Live in the Southern California area.
• Ability to drive to job sites.

A DAY IN THE LIFE

• Key team member and responsible for a variety of daily assignments while assisting the project team in the successful completion of their current project
• Responsible for submittals, RFI logs, procurement logs, meeting minutes and other tolls for $20m to $40m projects
• Facilitates the review of materials delivered to the site and interface the review of materials delivered to the site.
• Assists the PM with daily tasks such as participating in Owner, Design, and staff meetings and monitoring the process with subcontractors/design team to ensure the timely approval of construction materials.
• Collaborate with our Safety Director and Job Site Superintendent to provide a safe working environment

SALARY AND BENEFITS
R.D. Olson Construction combines numerous pay and benefits strategies to provide a comprehensive and competitive total rewards package. Any salary range displayed by a job board is an estimate. Your salary, which considers your unique qualifications and experience, is just one component of the total rewards you will enjoy with R.D. Olson Construction. This may include discretionary annual performance bonus, project-based bonus, auto allowance, comprehensive benefits and wellness programs, 401k plan with generous matching, and career development program. The salary range for this position is $64,480 - $95,288 per annum, based on experience and qualifications.
