- Under minimal supervision, executes assigned project activities using established procedures and applying scientific knowledge and accumulated experience to complete projects involving human bio samples processing.
- Makes recommendations to resolve problems encountered while performing procedures.
- Analyzes alternative approaches to solve problems or develop new perspectives on existing solutions.
- Receives general direction; plans and executes own work.
- Maintains an effective scientific knowledge base and effectively uses broad scientific concepts to resolve problems of moderate scope and complexity.
- Bachelor’s degree in Biotechnology, Cell Biology, Molecular Biology with 5 years industry or academy lab experience. Masters (MS) degree, in Biotechnology, Cell Biology, Molecular Biology with 3 years industry or academy lab experience.
- Following are some expectations for hands on laboratory experience (minimum 2-3 years): DNA/ RNA extraction from human samples (blood, tissue, stool).
- Serum, plasma, PBMC isolation from fresh human blood and aliquoting of the samples.
- Handling human stool, saliva, urine, samples for various downstream processing.
- Experience in using LIMS and eLN.
