Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Controls Engineer with project management background for field service operations nationwide. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in industrial automation, control systems implementation, and managing automation projects.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and optimize industrial control systems and automation solutions at customer locations
- Lead project teams in planning, executing, and delivering automation projects
- Program and troubleshoot PLCs, HMIs, and industrial networks
- Develop and maintain control system documentation and specifications
- Perform system upgrades and modifications to existing automation systems
- Commission new control systems and equipment
- Work with customers to define project scope and requirements
- Manage project timelines, resources, and budgets
- Train customer personnel on system operation and maintenance
- Travel to customer sites across the United States
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field
- 2 years experience in industrial automation and controls
- Proficient in PLC programming (Allen Bradley, Siemens)
- Demonstrated project management experience
- Strong understanding of industrial electrical systems
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel extensively
Desired Qualification (not required)
- AMV (Autonomous Mobile Vehicle) programming and implementation experience
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift and handle equipment up to 50 pounds
- Capable of standing, bending, and working in various positions for extended periods
- Comfortable working in manufacturing environments
- Valid passport for occasional international travel
