Job Description

Equipment operator/foreman is in charge of the daily work associated with the civil and site improvements on the project such as underground pipe/utilities, foundation excavation and underground precast structures. The foreman will manage while working with the crew to complete the tasks.

Responsibility

• Operation of different types of heavy equipment (excavator, loader, dozer, etc.)
• Knowledge underground pipeline/utilities
• Directing crews in daily tasks
• Blueprint reading
• Material takeoffs

Job Requirements and Qualifications

• 5 years experience as heavy equipment operator
• High school education or equivalent
• Previous experience as a foreman
• Proficient with use of hand tools and power tools
• Ability to communicate with the project manager and superintendent on projects
• Ability to lift, push, pull and carry 50-100lbs
• Validate drivers license
• Water and Wastewater type project experience a plus.

Working Environment

• Working conditions for this position will be on construction sites throughout
• Employee must be physically able to perform job duties which may include but not limited to heavy lifting and constant standing
• Hours worked are Monday-Friday, 40 hours per week minimum

• Pay: $30-$45 per hour (based on qualifications and experience)
