SUMMARY

The Quality Supervisor will provide day-to-day leadership for the R. Sabee Quality team, including establishing and monitoring quality programs to ensure compliance with company and customer expectations. The individual in this role will also serve in a lead role for company audits.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Learn and understand raw material and finished product specifications and performance attributes.
• Publish Finished Product Specification Binders and ensure they are always up to date.
• Ensure all departments are performing applicable quality measures/procedures and regulatory requirements are being followed.
• Participate in training production personnel on methods to perform quality measures/procedures.
• Ensure raw materials meet technical specifications. Work with vendors to address and resolve quality related issues, including non-compliant materials, and to identify opportunities for improvement.
• Ensure facility containment process is followed. Participate in root cause analysis for product holds; help develop and implement corrective actions.
• 3rd party audits (i.e. Quality, GMP, Social Compliance, etc) – lead preparation for audits, including ensuring all documentation is up to date. Serve as a primary contact for auditors.
• Member of the internal Quality Committee, including preparation & presentation of quality metrics.
• Develop and maintain quality SOPs.
• Organize and conduct internal audits, including implementing follow-up items.
• Provide leadership to the quality team, including hiring, performance management and employee development.
• Work with external customers and internal operations, maintenance and engineering to ensure facility meets quality expectations.
• Participate in investigating customer/consumer complaints.
• Coordinate with customers regarding any applicable changes to raw materials or production processes.
• Lead contact for various Customer programs such as material and packaging safety, fiber surveys, etc.
• Coordinate/communicate with 3rd party quality testing laboratories as needed.
• Develop and implement vendor audit program.
