We are hiring a highly skilled Technical Team Leader to join and mentor our dynamic rapidly growing team in Cambridge. We develop and creates analytic technology solutions for governments, start-ups and major-multi-internationals. Our team’s expertise in law, engineering and data-science; designs software to help mitigate issues such as fraud, harassment and bribery using data-driven analytics

This is a great position for an experienced software engineer who is passionate about leading a skilled team to create positive technological solutions for the workplace and its culture.

What we expect

• Design and implement a system that future projects will rely on

• Take ownership of resources, systems to build and maintain a cross-web application.

• Working in a sensitive environment in which secure handling of data is crucial

• Oversee daily technical operations in a cross-functional team and mentor junior engineers on the team

What we’re looking for from you

• At least 7 years of experience with designing, implementing, and maintaining production-quality Django applications
• Strong experience with Python
• Some experience DevOps tools e.g. Kubernetes, Terraform, etc
• Testing-first mentality to ensure that all components that are built are properly tested as part of an automated CI/CD pipeline
• A strong bias towards automation, coupled with good judgment to recognize when automation is the wrong choice
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced agile development process
• Ability to create simplified documentation so that knowledge can be efficiently transferred amongst a distributed team and provide the foundation for onboarding new engineers in the future
• Hands on, but enjoys to teaching, coaching, and mentoring others in how to build better, higher quality software
• Passion and desire to continuously learn, embrace, and adopt new ideas, industry best practices
