Our client has an immediate need for an HR Process Consultant to work on several hands-on projects including process mapping, workplace investigations, and other HR-related assignments.

Location

Portland Oregon, Hybrid (In office 1-2 days a week, with

periodic travel to manufacturing plants in Oregon ( 2-4 days per month)

Position Type : W-2 Contract

Contract Duration : July 1st October 31st, 2024

Your Role :

The HR Process Consultant is responsible for hands-on involvement in completing and managing projects and programs related to HR operations, including process mapping, employee lifecycle management, and other HR duties as needed.

  • Project and Program Management : Lead and manage projects and programs related to HR operations, ensuring timely completion and alignment with organizational goals.
  • Process Mapping : Utilize tools such as Word, Excel, and Visio to map HR processes, identifying areas for improvement and ensuring consistency across plants.
  • HR Process Enhancement : Develop thorough step-by-step instructions for HR processes, reviewing and refining existing processes across plants to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Employee Lifecycle Management Project : Lead an employee lifecycle project for plants, overseeing activities related to recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and offboarding.
  • Workplace Investigations : Support workplace investigations by conducting fact-finding interviews, summarizing conclusions, and providing recommendations for resolution.
  • Collaboration with Other Teams : Work closely with other teams to support business-related requests, including reviewing job descriptions, organizational change requests, promotions, and separations.

Qualifications :

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field or 5-7 years of equivalent experience.
  • Proven experience in managing projects and programs, with a hands-on approach to completing project work.
  • Proficiency in process mapping using tools such as Word, Excel, and Visio.
  • Experience in HR-related duties, including workplace investigations and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and address process improvement opportunities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Flexibility to travel periodically to different locations.
