The position is critical in assisting rabbittransit in meeting our mission of mobility. The impact of public transportation runs much deeper than a trip from point A to point B. This position provides operational and maintenance support to the Site Manager and General Manager by assisting in coordinating all aspects of daily operations.
REPORTING RELATIONSHIP
This position reports to the Site Manager. This position receives general instructions regarding the scope and approach to assignments.
Some of the ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Achieves the Authority's mission by soliciting daily feedback from operators and forwarding feedback forms to the Scheduler. Posts daily reports that include On Time Performance.
Drives safety of the Authority by initializing incident reports and accidents/injury reports and following up with the operator for completion.
Maintains and manages tablet inventory and performs weekly updates for optimal performance.
Uses and updates Paylocity as needed with proper schedules, changes to cost codes, and approvals.
Ensures communication and positive image of the Authority by reviewing critical incidents, exceptions to policy and/or goal achievement with Supervisor.
Contributes to the team by training assigned employees.
Maintains trust, confidence and protects the organization by keeping information confidential and disclosing only on a need to know basis; ensuring high ethical standards; and using good customer service skills with both internal and external customers.
Maintains cooperative relationship with coworkers and management by communicating necessary information, responding to requests, building rapport; and participating in problem- solving methods.
Contributes to effective communications within the organization by establishing and maintaining effective communication lines with all staff members and general public. Keeps management and staff informed of critical information needed to ensure smooth operations.
Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational classes/workshops; maintaining detailed knowledge of service area.
For Divisional locations only:
Supports maintenance by working with Superintendent of Maintenance with coordinating Preventative Maintenance (PMs) and major repairs with shop or 3rd party vendors. Reviews and scans DVIRs. Enters fuel slips into maintenance software.
Coordinates the daily operator assignments with Centralized Dispatch.
Conducts monthly facility inspections in coordination with the safety and training team.
Supports the organization's financial responsibility by counting fares and preparing and making weekly deposits. Handles onsite ticket sales.
Maintains miscellaneous maintenance inventory on site to include oil, washer fluid and transmission fluid.
Assists the operations by updating the vehicle availability list and forwarding to Centralized Dispatch.
ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES AND EXPERIENCE
- High school degree or equivalent is required.
- One or more years of experience in operations or maintenance environment.
- Demonstrated ability to be accurate, well organized, multitask, prioritize and have a sense of urgency.
- Ability to use computers with proficiency with Microsoft Office and office equipment.
- Must meet hiring qualifications of an acceptable driving record and background verification in accordance with SRTA standards.
- Must have regular attendance and punctuality.
CERTIFICATES AND LICENSES REQUIRED
- Must possess valid motor vehicle operator's license that is not under suspension or revocation, and possess current automobile insurance coverage.
- Must possess a valid DOT medical card.
- This is a safety sensitive position subject to US DOT Drug and Alcohol pre-employment, random, post-accident, reasonable suspicion and return to duty testing.
