Job Description
FINANCIAL ANALYST
(Draper In-Office)
Position Summary : As an Analyst in Financial Planning and Analysis, you will play a critical role in supporting the strategic growth initiatives and financial planning efforts of the company. You will be responsible for maintaining, updating and improving upon working files, and monitoring key financial performance indicators (KPIs) for executive management. This role requires a finance/accounting acumen, strong analytical mindset, and the ability to effectively communicate with cross-functional teams.
Responsibilities:
  • Monitor and report on KPIs, identifying areas of concern or improvement, and proposing action plans to address them.
  • Prepare financial reports, presentations, and ad-hoc analyses for senior management and other stakeholders, providing insights and recommendations based on analysis.
  • Assist in the preparation of annual budgets, financial forecasts, and long-term financial plans, ensuring they are aligned with the company's strategic goals and objectives.
  • Perform in-depth investigation into variances between actuals and budget/forecast and articulate those variances to management.
  • Develop and maintain financial models to support the company's financial planning and analysis efforts, including forecasting, budgeting, and scenario analysis.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Corporate Development, Finance, Operations, and Business Development, to gather financial information, validate data accuracy, and ensure alignment with strategic objectives.
  • Participate in financial modeling for pricing, cost analysis, and other financial evaluations to support business decision-making.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, economic factors, and regulatory changes that may impact the company's financial performance and strategic initiatives.
  • Participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance financial planning and analysis processes, systems, and tools.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or related field.
  • 1 years of experience in accounting, financial planning and analysis, or related roles preferred.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other software applications.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to analyze complex financial data and communicate findings in a clear manner.
  • Proficiency in financial analysis techniques, including modeling, forecasting, budgeting, valuation, and due diligence is a plus.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work effectively under pressure.
  • Knowledge of financial accounting principles and financial statement analysis.
