Trend Performance, a Race Winning Brands company, is seeking a Machine Operator / Centerless Grinder Operator. This position is a full-time position on first shift.

The Machine Operator is responsible for setting up and running robotically tended CNC machining centers while manufacturing quality parts in a timely manner.

This individual measure manufactured parts with designated measuring instruments to verify parts are within specification to print.

Problem solving skills are required to identify root cause machine and part issues.

Responsibilities :

• Sets up and operates one or more centerless grinding machines to grind external or tapered surfaces of metal workpieces to specifications.
• Grind jobs according to print holding tolerances as tight as .0002
• Must have the ability to lift 50lbs without assistance
• Applies knowledge to read blueprints and / or work orders to understand product specifications, dimensions, tolerances, number of parts, special instructions, etc.
• Able to run and hand load all robotically tended machines
• Setup, hand load, change tools and toolsets
• Follow all quality procedures
• Use designated measuring techniques for each part family
• Engineering print reading and inspection tool use to verify parts
• Keep machinery and tooling in good working order
• Maintain a clean, safe and organized work area
• Basic computer skills including MS office products
• Communicate issues effectively to appropriate individuals

Requirements :

Education and Experience :

• 2-5 years of experience in centerless grinding
• Candidate must be eligible to work in the United States without company sponsorship
• Candidate must be able to communicate in English
• Positive attitude and able to work as a team
• Able to multi-task in a fast-paced work environment
• Detail oriented, responsible, with excellent organizational skills
• Able to work independently and efficiently to meet deadlines
• Understanding of manufacturing process and associated software
• Able to successfully manage multiple projects simultaneously

• Physical Demands Standing for long periods of time. The employee is frequently required to walk; use hands and have finger dexterity;

reach with hands and arms, talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.

The employee must occasionally lift and / or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision and able to adjust focus.

Work Environment While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

Personal Protective Equipment is required including but not limited to gloves, safety glasses and hearing protection.
