Job Description:
The HVAC/R Technician is responsible for the maintenance and repair up to 40 RaceTrac convenience stores in a designated region.
This individual is responsible for maintaining Building HVAC, Refrigeration Walk-Ins and reach ins and sealed system repairs on Yogurt Machines, Ice Makers, and Frozen Carbonated Beverage Units.
The HVAC/R Technician is also responsible for reporting any maintenance or repair needs found at the location via Service Channel and to their Regional Service Manager.
Responsibilities:
* Installing, maintaining, and repairing light commercial roof top units ventilation, air conditioning, refrigeration systems and equipment.
* Perform repairs and installation on HVAC/R equipment and commercial kitchen equipment
* Demonstrate strong knowledge of refrigeration systems, walk in refrigeration/freezer units.
* Identifying maintenance risks on equipment.
* Diagnosing electrical and mechanical faults for HVAC systems.
* Cleaning, adjusting, and repairing systems, and performing warranty services.
* Performing emergency repairs promptly and efficiently.
* Providing technical direction and on-the-job training.
* Keeping daily logs and records of all maintenance functions.
* Ensuring compliance with appliance standards and with Occupational Health and Safety Act.
* Complying with service standards, work instructions and customers' requirements.
* Assisting with customers' queries.
Qualifications:
* HVAC, HVAC/R skillset desired
* Universal EPA Certification required.
* Ability to work from 6am through 7pm
* Good driving record
* 2 years work experience preferred.
* Minimum 1 year experience as an HVAC technician, and willingness to continue education in HVAC field.
* Ability to read commercial wiring schematics
* Ability to lift 50 pounds without assistance
* Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills.
* Proficient in reading schematics and work plans.
* Ability to use power tools and hand tools
* Ability to work in confined spaces and outside conditions.
* Ability to use ladders safely.
