RaceTrac Company Overview Job Description: The Staff Accountant is responsible for the allocation and invoicing of all RaceTrac and RaceWay receivables. This individual handles the ongoing reconciliations for outside vendors and accounts receivable. Responsibilities: Ensures that all rebates have been accurately captured in the various rebate reporting tools Accrues monthly rebates calculated and bill at the correct intervals to vendors and brokers Invoices vendors and brokers based on terms negotiated Collects on invoices that fall between 30-60 days and inform internal departments of any invoices that have aged past 61 days Completes various month-end duties including calculation of rebate allocations, accruals, and account reconciliations Ensures that invoices correctly reflect the contracted terms between vendors and brokers Reviews, investigates, and corrects errors and inconsistencies in financial entries, documents, and reports Carries out ad hoc reports/assignments as needed. Develops and maintains strong working relationships with multiple internal departments and outside vendors Qualifications: Bachelor's degree from four-year College or University with a concentration in finance, accounting or related field of study 0-3 years accounting experience; preferably retail experience Strong understanding and working knowledge of US GAAP Advanced experience using MS Office Suite, particularly Excel CPA is a plus Working at RaceTrac Petroleum, Inc.
