ResponsibilitiesThe candidate will lead fulfillment of a portfolio of technical asset management contracts for solar renewable energy projects, provide engineering consulting services, and support the Portfolio Management, Onboarding and Technical Asset Management teams. Responsibilities include:
  • Fulfill technical requirements of the Asset Management contracts including:
  • Evaluation of technical performance of client sites
  • Identify data and performance issues and recommendations for improvement
  • Oversee Operations and Maintenance providers and provide technical feedback and support
  • Track equipment and data outages and take steps to reduce frequency and duration
  • Analysis and feedback on spares strategy
  • Root cause analysis and problem resolution
  • Monthly reporting of site performance metrics
  • Technical Onboarding of new solar sites including:
  • Drawing and design review of sites
  • Review of PVSyst and setup of expected energy model
  • Data evaluation of site and feedback to client on accuracy
  • Provide technical guidance on handoff from developer to O&M provider
  • Participate in onboarding and turnover calls with client, developer and O&M provider
  • Compare design, model data and financial forecasts to identify gaps and issues
  • Consulting services including:
  • Drawing and design review
  • Construction and commissioning consulting services
  • Performance analysis of underperforming sites
  • Other responsibilities:
  • Leads creation of new standard operating procedures
  • Drafts and review technical analyses, reports and presentations to internal and external audiences
  • Provides leadership and coaching to other members of the technical asset management team
Preferred Experience3 years of solar / renewable energy experience preferred
Required Qualification & Education
The minimum required qualifications for this position is as follows:
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, or a related energy field from a four-year university
  • 3 years of experience in power generation industry (solar / battery storage / renewable energy experience preferred)

Experience reviewing project agreements & terms, with the ability to identify material terms a plus.

  • Adaptability: Adapts to changes in the work environment, manages competing demands, and is able to deal with frequent interruptions, changes, delays, or unexpected events.
  • Problem solving: Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner, gathers and reviews information appropriately. Uses own judgment and acts independently; seeks input from other team members as appropriate for complex or sensitive situations.
  • Passion: Demonstrates passion to learn in a rapidly growing and oftentimes unstructured environment.
  • Technology: Proficient in the use of Microsoft products: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook. Prepares and / or provides ad hoc reports for executive management use.
  • Reporting: Experience in data analysis and reporting.
  • Technical knowledge in the following areas:
  • PV plant performance analysis
  • Electrical design
  • Solar industry best practices
  • Energy storage concepts
  • Substation concepts
  • Familiarity with module/inverter/tracking system technology
  • Electrical and solar equipment testing procedures
Preferred Skills & CompetenciesPV simulation software such as PVSYST
The Pay Range For This Role Is66,010 - 94,300 USD per year(Remote)
