- Supervise a group of 2 or more individuals or managers within the Compliance Security Operations group, setting direction and driving across the team to meet goals.
- Lead efforts for regulatory mock audits, gap analysis
- Lead audit support efforts, as requested by client
- Advise team on emerging risks
- Ability to travel 20% to support client(s) and/or organizational needs
- Provide technical support on regulatory requirements
- Lead discussions on complex regulatory situations
- Manage day-to-day compliance activities for our clients, ensuring adherence to relevant regulations and standards.
- Define team direction. Develop, resource and manage large scope and long term projects, making resource, scope, and delivery tradeoffs as necessary. Review work products and progress to ensure success.
- Facilitate meetings with external stakeholders and cross-functional teams. Resolve issues within and across teams. Mentor team and lower level managers on job specific roles, communication, and collaboration.
- Establish and assure adherence to budgets, schedules, work plans, and performance requirements. Develop compensation planning, career coaching, training, and administer company policies for the team.
- Working with other senior managers, drive cross-functional team improvement initiatives to optimize the business, and propose updates to division policies. Support implementation of strategic directions within the team.
- 2-4 years management experience
- Expertise in Sr. Management
- Proven documentation, presentation, and communication skills with working teams and senior level management, CEOs, boards of directors
- Able to set direction and drive large cross functional team to success. Able to work as part of a larger team.
- Proven success in personnel management, coaching & mentoring
- Strong project and people management skills - organizing work, planning, monitoring and making tradeoffs to ensure quality deliveries.
- Able to liaise with clients and internal teams on significant issues that require high level management intervention in a professional manner
- Root cause analysis & process improvement. Big picture thinking that drives team to meet organizational goals and provides cross-functional improvements.
- Expertise in MS Office MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, [Project], [Access], [Publisher]) and Adobe PDF toolsets
- Regulatory audit experience in at least one of the NERC Regions
- Experience with NERC Standards
- Experience with NERC RSAWs and ERT
- Second level management of a large team
- Successful delivery of large cross functional projects
- Expertise in Sr. Manager specific activities
- Process improvement experience with Lean Six Sigma Green or Black Belt.
- Experience in the green energy or utilities domain
- Experience with a U.S. based company
- Root cause analysis and problem solving skills
- Strong communication skills with the ability to distill information and present it in an understandable manner appropriate for the audience
- Training creation, process improvement.
- Coaching / leadership skills
