A Montgomery County Dermatology Office is NOW HIRING an exceptional, professional, reliable, detail-oriented, enthusiastic, self-motivated, and hard-working Medical Assistant with preference to those with prior dermatology exposure and EMR experience (i.e. Modernizing Medicine) to join our dynamic team. Our commitment is providing excellent, high quality customer service for our dermatologic patients while providing a positive and safe workplace environment for our employees.

Position is full time.

Candidates must have exceptional customer service and patient care skills to join our team as an office staff.

Duties Include But Are Not Limited To:

• Assisting physician in providing quality care to patients
• Greeting all patients in a professional manner
• Providing excellent patient customer service
• Maintain patients' medical records
• Review medical history
• Obtain appropriate consents
• Call in prescriptions
• Telephone communication with patients and Performing patient call backs
• Screening patients and employees daily upon entry
• Checking patients in and out
• Rooming patients and keeping social distancing guidelines
• Collect and manage patient information with respect and detail, in accordance with industry regulations (HIPAA, etc.)
• Actively listen to patients, using empathy and concern
• Engage with pleasant and clear speaking voice
• Positive attitude that shines through to our patients in person and on the phone
• Attention to detail

· Follow directions and respects policies and procedures

• Wearing proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
• Sanitizing and cleaning respective areas as needed
• Screening patients and employees daily upon entry
• Cleaning instruments and operation of autoclave
• Equipment/inventory stocking and ordering
• Support the front office business administrators, and the Office Manager, in various operations areas and tasks.
• Other duties as assigned by Office Manager and Staff

Requirements

• MA certificate of completion/diploma from medical vocational program
• At least one year of Dermatology experience preferred (some consideration will be provided to newly graduated MA students with strong letters of recommendation from training institution)
• EMR experience (with EMA experience highly favored)
• Current CPR Certification
• Knowledge of vital signs is required
• Working knowledge of dermatologic surgery and sterile technique preferred. Considerations for on-job training may be made for strong candidates
• Knowledge of medical terminology; medical computer programs and insurance policies preferred
• Must be computer literate and comfortable with using technology
• Proficiency in Word and Excel are required
• Candidacy Is Favored If You Possess Bi-Lingual skills (Spanish)
• Candidacy Is Favored If You Possess Experience Within The Healthcare Industry
• The position requires someone who is personable, dependable and responsible, with excellent organizational as well as verbal and written communication skills

Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour
