Radiance Technologies Inc. is Hiring a Cost Estimator Near Aberdeen, MD

Radiance Technologies, a rapidly growing employee-owned company is seeking a Cost Estimator to support the Army Rapid Capabilities and Critical Technologies Office (RCCTO) Deputy Director, Rapid Acquisition Prototyping and Project Office (RAPPO) and Deputy Director, Advanced Concepts and Critical Technologies (ACCT) Office. The RCCTO mission is to rapidly and efficiently research, develop, prototype, test, evaluate, procure, transition, and/or field critical enabling technologies and capabilities that address near-term, and mid-term threats. This individual will provide cost-estimating support and various cost functions involving the formulation, justification, and/or execution of costs (incurred or future) for programs and projects. Teleworking is available based on mission requirements. Primary reporting location will be Aberdeen Proving Ground with occasional in person support required Ft. Belvoir with a minimum of four in-person support days per month. The Cost Estimator is responsible for: Developing R&D cost estimates for prototype projects Developing life cycle cost estimates to determine the total cost of a program Preparing estimates for changes in technical and/or funding baselines Analyzing mission requirements to determine cost parameters, specific cost factors, and relationships to be utilized in constructing a cost model Providing support in defending cost estimating methodologies Refining and adjusting cost models in response to changes in technical specifications, support requirements, design alternatives, engineering, and operational trade-offs Providing detailed cost reports and documentation Providing advice and technical assistance to functional specialists in identifying and evaluating program cost factors and cost impact on program alternatives Developing Independent Government Estimates (IGCEs) for R&D prototype projects to support management needs Required Travel: Yes. Required Skills: Preparing independent government cost estimates (IGCE) Refine and adjust cost models in response to changes in technical specifications, support requirements, design alternatives, engineering, and operational trade-off proposals Providing all necessary cost estimating, cost analysis, documentation, and support to RCCTO Army projects/programs Active secret clearance Required Experience: Bachelor’s degree in related field 4 years of relevant experience providing cost analysis Experience in DoD acquisition programs. Army experience preferred. Experience with evaluating projects using different methods and options to determine the most cost-effective solution that meets the required specifications Use of ACEIT (Automated Cost Estimating Integrated Tools) and Excel in development and review of cost analyses and project cost estimates Desired Qualifications: Experience with contracts, budget, and the program acquisition processes. Cost Estimating certifications such as PCE/A or CCE/A. Experience with Earned Value Management (EVM) EOE/Minorities/Females/Vet/Disabled Our growth is creating great opportunities!
