Iowa Dermatology Clinic is hiring a Certified Medical Assistant (4-day work week). We are looking for an individual who can work closely with clinic and organizations leadership to provide a quality patient experience.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities: (including but not limited to)
- Answering telephones / scheduling appointments.
- Greeting patients.
- Updating and filing patient medical records.
- Insurance verification.
- Arranging for hospital admissions and laboratory services.
- Taking medical histories.
- Explaining treatment procedures to patients.
- Preparing patients for examination.
- Assisting the physician during exams.
- Collecting and preparing laboratory specimens.
- Performing basic laboratory tests.
- Preparing and administering medications as directed by a physician.
- Drawing blood.
- Removing sutures and changing dressings.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Current CME certification for Certified Medical Assistant and AAMA, NCCT or RM certification required.
- Mandatory Reporter certification preferred.
- CPR preferred.
- Previous clinical experience in a medical office preferred.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work as a team member.
- Strong computer skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
