In this capacity, you will have the chance to gain significant exposure to underwriting, data systems, and group performance analysis. You will play a key role in supporting our underwriting function, ensuring they have the necessary insights to understand the potential risks of groups and effectively liaise with brokers and vendors. The primary aspect of your role will be Underwriting Support, with two additional support areas of work: Data Systems Support and Group Performance Analysis.

Underwriting Support – As an Underwriting Analyst, you will assist with assessing the risk factors of potential clients, data entry, and policy issuance, while maintaining a strong working relationship with our clients.

• Risk Assessment and Analysis: Evaluate the risk profiles of groups using Radion Health’s machine learning / AI software to determine their viability and profitability.
• Data Collection and Management: Collect, organize, and analyze data from various sources to support underwriting decisions and contribute to risk modeling.
• Collaboration with Stakeholders: Work closely with other team members to ensure a comprehensive understanding of program stacks and cost containment measures.

Data Systems Support – You will aid in organizing and maintaining our data systems, ensuring the integrity, accuracy, and security of our data. Tasks may include data entry, data analysis, and troubleshooting system problems.

Group Performance Analysis – Collaborating closely with our account management team, you will provide research and analytical support. Your insights will contribute significantly to understanding the performance of our groups, ensuring that our account management team can effectively communicate with brokers and vendors.

Requirements

• Undergraduate degree in Mathematics; Economics
• Critical thinking and ability to integrate and understand complex data
• 2-5 years of experience working in a similar industry; or one where consolidation and interpretation of multiple data sources to support quantitative decision-making is required
