The Radisson Duluth Hotel is now accepting applications for Host/Hostess for our new restaurant, Harbor 360, Minnesota’s only revolving Restaurant.
The qualified candidate will have an outgoing personality, be a team player working and helping each other bring outstanding service and creating that special experience for all our guests. Experience is welcome, but we will train the right person. Host/Hostess will work and be scheduled as needed. The Host/Hostess is the first person the guest encounters. You will escort the guest to their table and assist other team members as needed.
Provide a systematic and organized transition for guest seating, accurately completes check transactions and associate paperwork, in accordance with all Hotel/Franchise standards to achieve and exceed guest expectations.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES includes the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Greet guests in a courteous, pleasant and professional manner.
Provide conversation to guests during waiting periods.
Answer all incoming telephone calls to the restaurant within three (3) rings when possible.
Take reservations when necessary, as well as room service orders, and give rooms service orders to the appropriate team member.
Assist guests in all charges after meals.
Assist servers to remove dishes and reset tables as needed.
Knowledge of total room service and dining room menus including what each item is comprised of, and upselling techniques for drinks and desserts.
Inquire about guests’ meals upon their payment for services rendered, and helps resolve any issues they may have during their meal.
Close out the register, record sales, guest counts, and receipts, etc.
Complete daily communication logbook.
Complete other tasks as assigned.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or equivalent.
No experience necessary.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
English is a must and other languages are a plus.
