A leading trading firm based in New York City, are seeking a talented Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to join the team and ensure the reliability, scalability, and performance of their trading infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and maintain robust and scalable infrastructure to support the trading systems.
• Monitor and manage the performance, availability, and reliability of the trading applications and systems.
• Develop and implement automation tools and scripts to streamline operational tasks and improve efficiency.
• Collaborate with software developers, traders, and other stakeholders to optimize system performance and reliability.
• Troubleshoot and resolve incidents, minimizing downtime and impact on trading operations.
• Implement and enforce best practices for system architecture, deployment, and monitoring.
• Conduct capacity planning and performance tuning to ensure systems can handle peak trading volumes.
• Document system configurations, processes, and procedures to facilitate knowledge sharing and compliance.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) or in a similar role, preferably in the financial industry.
• Strong proficiency in scripting and automation using languages such as Python.
• Extensive experience with Linux operating systems and system administration.
• Familiarity with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) and orchestration tools.
• Knowledge of networking concepts and protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP) and experience with network troubleshooting.
• Experience with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack).
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work effectively under pressure.
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) is a plus.
