Radyne Corporation: An Inductotherm Group Company is Hiring a Controls Engineer Near Milwaukee, WI
The electrical and controls engineer is responsible for specifying the HMI, PLC and I/O design elements, programming, debugging and manual documentation preparation required to develop induction heating systems.
Description of work:
- Programming, design and specification of control systems that move and orient parts to be processed in our Induction Heating Systems.
- Program, Configure and Debug control systems PLCs, HMIs, computers, relays, servo drives, sensors, pneumatics, etc.
- Design control systems for new products.
- Create custom PLC/HMI software.
- Work with minimal supervision to complete projects on time and within budget.
- Ensure that the electrical performance, safety, and reliability of our systems are “Best in class”.
- Test equipment on the integration floor – consisting of power checks, and installing/testing PLC/HMI software
- Generating support documentation including operator’s and maintenance manuals
- occasional travel to customer job sites
- BS in Electrical Engineering
- 2 to 10 years design and test of custom machines.
- Experience specifying/programming Allen-Bradley PLC/HMI
- 2 to 10 years design and test of custom machines.
- Knowledge of standards [e.g. CSA, CE, UL, ANSI, NEC, ASME, etc.] a plus
- Must have excellent technical writing and oral communication skills.
- Robotics Experience a plus
