Duties:
- Develop and implement lesson plans that adhere to the curriculum guidelines
- Teach science to students in a clear and engaging manner
- Assess student progress and provide feedback on their performance
- Create a positive and inclusive learning environment
- Utilize instructional technology to enhance teaching and learning
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and improve instructional materials
- Provide academic advising to students regarding course selection and career goals
- Assist students with special education needs by modifying instruction and providing additional support
- Manage student behavior effectively to create a productive learning environment
- Stay updated on current research and best practices in mathematics education
Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Science or related field (Master's degree preferred)
- Teaching certification or licensure in Science
- Experience teaching science at the secondary level
- Knowledge of instructional design principles and strategies
- Familiarity with behavior management techniques
- Ability to provide academic advising and support to students
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience working with diverse student populations, including students with special education needs
