The HR Generalist is responsible for supporting a wide variety of HR activities for the Mexico entity, including recruitment, onboarding, payroll, benefits administration, and ensuring compliance with federal and local labor laws. This role contributes to fostering a positive and productive work environment and advises managers and supervisors on all Mexico HR practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and communicate HR policies and procedures
- Collaborate with U.S.-based People Operations counterparts to share best practices and maintain consistency
- Advise and assist management and employees on labor-related issues, such as employment contracts, termination, compensation, and benefits
- Maintain accurate employee records, including personnel files, training records, and documentation
- Handle sensitive employee information with confidentiality and follow data protection regulations
- Manage full recruitment lifecycle, including job posting, sourcing, interviewing, and onboarding
- Prepare recruitment metrics reports, including time-to-fill, cost-per-hire, and candidate pipeline
- Oversee employee benefits administration
- Assist employees with Employee Self Service access, including password resets or information updates
- Ensure accurate and timely payroll processing, including wages, deductions, and benefits
- Draft, renew, and maintain employment contracts, ensuring compliance
- Provide support on payroll inquiries and issues
- Enforce compliance with Mexican labor laws and company policies
- Regularly review and update processes to align with legal requirements and best practices
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in HR, Business, or a related field, or equivalent experience
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in human resources, preferably as a generalist
- Strong integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality
- Customer service focused, able to work both independently and as part of a team
