Located amid Shasta-Trinity National Forest at the foot of Castle Crags State Park, Railroad Park Resort is the crown jewel of Dunsmuir, California. Serving guests since 1968, it has been a favorite destination with families for generations, whether they want to eat in our Dining Car, sleep in a caboose, or commune with nature in our campground.

Our Cast Members are our guest’s first point of contact and our Front Desk Agents are responsible for greeting guests, checking them in and out of hotel rooms and creating magic by providing a personalized and seamless experience for the guests of Railroad Park Resort.

The Front Desk Agent also assists guests and enhances their stay by providing information regarding resort services and activities and surrounding areas as needed. If you have a passion for customer service and work experience in the hospitality industry, we want you to join our team!

Responsibilities

• Assist guests during check in and check out, phone interaction, and face-to-face interaction
• Assist Guests and Cast Members with questions, directions, event schedules, and other information regarding the resort to help create a magical experience for all
• Strong computer skills and knowledge is required
• Must feel comfortable handling money and possesses a high level of integrity
• Ability to reflect a professional image while maintaining guest privacy
• Must stay calm in highly stressful situations and be knowledgeable of emergency situations
• Will be stationed both indoor at the Front Desk and outdoors as needed to provide assistance to Guests at any time throughout the day and night
• Handle a high volume of transactions, including the handling of many different forms of payment (cash, credit cards, gift cards, etc.)
• Will be empowered to, and must have availability to confidently utilize service recovery methods
• Support local projects and monitor any potential impacts on the Guests and team experience
• Work in a fast-paced environment and independently keeping up to date with changing product knowledge and policy and procedure changes
• Liaise with our housekeeping staff to ensure all rooms are clean, tidy, and fully furnished to accommodate guests' needs
• All Cast Members must maintain a neat, clean, and well-groomed appearance (Specific standards outlined at orientation)
• Assists other Guest Services personnel when needed
• Perform any related duties as requested by the management team

Basic Qualifications

• Previous cash handling experience
• Previous computer experience in a Windows environment
• Ability to perform in a fast-paced and sometimes stressful working environment
• Ability to partner with other operating departments
• Ability to multitask
• Ability to confidently utilize service recovery methods
• Receptive to special requests
• Willing to follow instructions and take direction
• You must be at least 18 years of age to be considered for this role
• Full availability for any shift, seven (7) days per week, including weekends, nights, and holidays is preferred
