We’re Hiring! Our key client in clinical robotics is looking for additional members for their team. We have a Component Engineer III on the team.

Pay Rate: $60.00-$77.79/hour on W2

Location: Santa Clara, CA 95051 – 4-5 days Onsite

Duration: 12-month contract (with possible extension)

Key Responsibilities:

• Work closely with Supplier Engineers, Design, Manufacturing, and project teams to implement performance, quality, capacity, and cost improvements.
• Select the right process and suppliers for the part, considering long-term fit and total cost of ownership.
• Source, select, and qualify alternate component technologies and / or supplies, reducing cost and improving quality and reliability.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives focused on material cost reduction, capacity enhancement, streamlining of supply chain, and commodity strategy
• Acts as technical interface between component/production suppliers and development engineers, determining new and alternate sources.
• Drive to closure supplier variances from symptom through root cause analysis to corrective action, including succinct CAPA/SCAR documentation.
• Evaluate and qualify supplier-requested material, design, and process changes.
• Maintain key metrics for the team and suppliers, and continually drive for timely achievement of those metrics.

Qualifications:

• An electrical or Electro-optical background is preferable.
