Responsibilities:
• Manages the onboarding and offboarding processes for employees.
• In charge of recruiting, interviewing and hiring new staff.
• In charge of maintaining the Employee records and Payroll database.
• Manages the Bi-weekly Payroll preparation, making sure the payroll data entered are accurate, and that all supervisor approved vacation/sick leave requests from employees are entered in the Jantek and Paychex payroll databases.
• Manages the submission of the 401K remittances.
• In charge of reporting the Monthly Workers Compensation.
• In charge of submitting the WC Claim injury reports.
• In charge of all payroll- related compliance reporting such as W-2s, Form 1095 and Form 5500.
• In charge of benefits administration including review of monthly health insurance charges and corresponding payroll deductions.
• Collaborate with the different managers to support various HR functions.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration or relevant field.
• 1-2 years previous experience in Human Resources and Payroll administration.
• Detail oriented with strong organization skills.
• Effective communication skills, oral and written.
• Strong math skills.
• Good knowledge of Excel and Word.
• Ability to maintain confidential information.
• Strong knowledge of employment labor laws.
• Familiarity with leave laws including FMLA and Workers’ Compensation.
